Reproductive rights

El-Sayed supports codifying federal reproductive rights and restoring the protections formerly provided under Roe v. Wade.

The standard set by Roe v. Wade is the foundation for gender equity.

WHAT HE HAS SAID

• Would work to write the rights Roe v. Wade protected into federal law.
• Believes reproductive-care decisions should be made by a patient (and their parents if a minor) and their doctor, no one else.
• Would fight to keep the medications used in reproductive care legal rather than criminalized.
• Would work to protect providers from lawsuits and funding cuts used to stop them from offering the full range of care their communities need.
