• Says ICE has become a tool for autocracy whose culture of aggression, impunity, and disregard for the rule of law cannot be reformed or retrained, and must be abolished.
• Supports a safe, secure border and immigration enforcement under a new organizational structure grounded in human dignity and deference to the rule of law.
• Would work to repurpose ICE funds to build out immigration courts and a clear pathway to citizenship for people stuck in limbo.
• Frames immigration as people coming to build in America, and calls for replacing today’s broken, unpredictable system with a clear, comprehensive, and fair one.
